Window Recess & Exact Size

Inside Window Recess

“To ensure a proper fit within the window recess, measure the width and drop of the blind at three points, providing us with the smallest measurements.”

“We’ll adjust as needed to ensure the blind fits snugly within the window recess.”

Outside Window Recess

A precise size blind, also referred to as “pin width” or “finished blind width,” denotes the measurement crucial for blinds hanging outside the recess, overlapping the window.

Determine the desired overlap for each side; we suggest a minimum of 7.5cm on all sides, including the top and bottom, to effectively minimize external light infiltration.

Take measurements of both the width and drop in three distinct positions, ensuring to provide us with the smallest recorded measurement. Rest assured, we will not make any deductions based on the measurements you provide.

Before need to consider installation

  1. Determine whether face or top fixing is most suitable.
  2. Securely screw the bracket into the wall
  3. Mount the blinds onto the brackets.
  4. Attach the safety device as required.

Face Fix:

When you opt for face fixing, the brackets are installed onto the window frame. This positioning allows the blinds to extend beyond the recess, overlapping with the wall.

Top Fix:

Choosing top fixing means the blinds hang within the recess, conserving space and creating a seamless, snug fit. Brackets are affixed to the lintel at the top of the window for this installation method.
